![]() Nowadays, whenever i see DeviantArt art pieces, it's almost always related to furries, adult content or some kind of fetish. ![]() It was a good place to see all kind of art, especially fanart. I never posted on DeviantArt, but i use to browse content there in the late 2000s. Also, becoming big on DeviantArt is not as impactful as being big on Instagram for instance. Most people who know about DeviantArt are artist themselves. I feel like DeviantArt is also a little more niche and not as mainstream. When i wanted to start posting my art on social medias, i looked at many platforms, including DeviantArt, but i ended up with Instagram. Instagram is a big competitor because of its higher reach and ArtStation became the place for more professional art, like a LinkedIn for artist. Now, you have other social media apps to do so. The main issue is that at the time, it was the main platform to post art. I don't think it's dead or dying, but at least it's stagnant or declining.
